After several weeks of office closure due to Corona pandemic, Sun Orthodontics is excited to reopen our practice and resume care for our patients starting May 4, 2020.   We want to assure you that we follow strict guidelines from the CDC and OSHA for our infection controls and sterilization protocols.   We are actively monitoring the situation, assessing the risks and are ready to implement immediate changes to ensure a highest level of safety for each of our patients and staff members.

Here is what we do in our office:

1. Rigorous cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing procedures in between patients and throughout the practice.
2. Wipes, hand sanitizers and handwash stations are available throughout the practice
3. We prescreen every patient for the following flu like symptoms (fever, cough, high temperature, loss of taste/smell, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, recent travel, past contact with COVID-19 positive individuals. If it is not safe to render treatment due to the above reasons our office will reschedule these patients accordingly.
4. We will take the temperature of each patient and have each patient sanitize his/her hands prior to being escorted to the treatment area.We have altered our schedules to provide spacing of our patients 6ft apart and allowing extra time in between patients to thoroughly clean, disinfect and sterilize instruments.
5. Only patients receiving the care will be admitted in the treatment area.We request that parents, siblings, relatives wait in the car, run errands or walk in the Webb park to maintain the 6ft social distancing practice.
6. We are taking sensible steps to protect our team members with proper PPE (masks, gloves, face shields, gowns).Each staff member will be screened for flu like symptoms and have their temperature taken when reporting to work.Staff members who are possibly sick are encouraged to stay home for 14 days or longer until well.We are making it easier for staff members to take the time they need to care for themselves or their families in the event they are directly affected by COVID-19.
